Training to find a Job
12/2017 - Barcelona
Embarking on the journey to secure employment can often be a formidable challenge. Recognizing the significance of professional guidance and thorough preparation for job interviews is crucial to overcoming this hurdle successfully.
In a notable initiative last November, 14 students from our business course in Barcelona had the invaluable opportunity to hone their skills with the assistance of eight dedicated volunteers from HP. These volunteers generously offered their time and expertise to help the students put into practice the knowledge they had acquired throughout their course.
Job Interview Simulations
The dynamic event unfolded in Barcelona, in the inviting space of El Carmel library, where an engaging session of express interviews was meticulously organized. The structure of this activity, characterized by a rapid succession of interviews, aimed to closely simulate real-world job interview scenarios. This fast-paced exercise enabled participants to apply and refine the skills they had cultivated, identifying their strengths, defending their responses, and showcasing a positive attitude based on the details of their CVs.
The session culminated in a constructive evaluation of the interviews. The student cohort was impressively diverse, comprising 19 women and one man from nine different nationalities, spanning ages 18 to 50. All of them were actively seeking employment, with a shared background of limited work experience and limited educational opportunities. Undoubtedly, this activity proved immensely beneficial and practical in preparing them for the upcoming steps in their professional journeys.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the volunteers from HP whose unwavering support and participation made this activity not only possible but also highly impactful.
